Auchans Castle - Auchans Dundonald

Auchans castle, an imposing listed historic site nestling in the Ayrshire countryside, currently ruinous and deteriorating fast.

Hopefully ownership of this historical ancient landmark can be obtained, and the building fully restored to its former glory.

A building preservation trust was in the process of being formed a few years ago in conjunction with Heritage architects and South Ayrshire Council, but was shelved due to the purchase of the castle by the current owner.

I will shortly be adding various pictures and information relating to the castle and its occupants through the ages. Any information you think may be of interest would be gratefully received.
